   Day 1: Arrive in Cochin, drive to Athirappilly

   Arrive at Cochin airport or railway station and drive to Athirappilly (about 60 km, 2 hours). Visit Athirappilly and Vazhachal waterfalls.

2. 2

   Day 2: Athirappilly to Munnar

   Drive to Munnar (about 130 km, 5 hours), passing Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls, spice plantations and tea gardens. Evening free.

3. 3

   Day 3: Munnar sightseeing

   Eravikulam National Park, Tea Museum, tea gardens, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake and Photo Point. Evening at the Rose Garden and Spice Garden.

   Day 4: Munnar to Thekkady

   Drive to Thekkady (about 90 km, 4 hours). Afternoon spice plantation tour and a Kathakali show.

   Day 5: Thekkady sightseeing

   Morning Periyar Lake boat ride and a jeep safari (included). Elephant ride at your own cost.

   Drive to Alleppey (about 160 km, 5 hours), check in and enjoy a day cruise through the backwaters.

   Drive to Cochin for Fort Kochi, the Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis Church, Santa Cruz Basilica and Marine Drive as time permits. Drop at the airport or railway station.

Important information

The group runs with a minimum of 10 to 12 passengers on that date. Costing is based on 24 passengers travelling together. Periyar entrance and boating is about ₹600 per person; book the boat online in advance as it sells out at peak time. Rooms in Munnar and Thekkady are non-AC. Vehicle AC does not work in hilly areas. Carry a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, driving licence, voter ID or passport), basic medicines, sunglasses, sunscreen and an umbrella.
